Since my life transition for the better, my focus on my mental and physical health became my top priority. I was in search for activities that helped simulate and ease my mind. After doing some research, yoga was the best fit. I've been always interested but never found time to try it out. Having dealt with all the emotional abuse and imbalances in my life, this was the perfect time to become a yogi.
As a beginner, getting into the flow and techniques was not complicated for me. Having a dancer background along with my past fitness abilities; I was able to get into the flow with ease. Yoga involves getting intune with your mind and the body. It's very relaxing and forces you to sink into the depths of self. When I practice yoga I feel like I'm connecting with the universe. It's a way to release unnecessary energy that causes blockages in the way the energy flows through the body. You're able to clear your mind, be in the moment, and allow yourself to fade into the zone of self.
I'm now an official yogi! I try to do it atleast once every few months. It offers lots of health and mental benefits. It has helped me with grounding and connecting back to self.
